Reporting into the Site Technical Manager you will be expected to manage the technical support team to achieve process and cost improvements across site and ensuring the on-going success of the business, whilst maintaining a safe working environment.

Key responsibilites:

• Issue reports of results, technical specifications and recommend process improvements.
• Maintain and foster collaborative effort with Production, Maintenance/Reliability, Engineering, Technical and Quality teams
• Accountable for the efficient performance of the process in the plant.
• Provide coaching, and oversee the training and skills development of the team.
• Initiate and conduct technical investigations and innovations aimed at quality, cost, environmental and reliability improvements.
• Complete capital projects and expansion works on time and in budget.

As a professional Chemical Engineer you will be able to communicate ideas successfully and collaborate with clients and colleagues to achieve project delivery goals.

To be successful for the role you will have:

• Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in chemical processing or mineral separation is a MUST.
• At least 10 years experience in a similar chemical processing environment.
• High level experince in CI Principles – Six Sigma, TQM, LEAN.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects.

• Assist the OIM in the management of safety on the installation through communication and training activities, active and reactive monitoring, and implementation of the PTW system.

• Carry out the FPSO safety induction program.

• Plan and arrange training and exercises for emergency response teams.

• Train and access new personnel in the Permit to Work (PTW) system.

• Maintain logs and records of all safety training and exercises.

• Carry out periodic inspections and functions tests of safety equipment , and monitor spares for such equipment, including: Lifeboats, life rafts and life buoys;Fire fighting equipment;Breathing apparatus;Portable gas measuring equipment.

• Implement the Safety Maintenance Program (BASS).

• Carry out monthly inspections with safety delegates and department heads.

• Carry out work site inspections on a daily basis, including monitoring of compliance with the PTW system.

• Arrange daily safety / PTW meetings and Safety assessment.

• Assist the OIM in safety related matters in day to day operations.

• Advise Management on regulations and safety requirements.

• Become a member of the FPSO safety committee.

• Participate with line management in:Investigation of accidents, incidents and near misses; Area inspection and monitoring of reports arising; Monitor implementation of the FPSO Waste Management Plan.

Requirements :

• Minimum 2 years offshore expérience.

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Safety Officer or equivalent.

• Previous experience as an offshore Safety Officer.

• Previous experience in administration of PTW systems.

• Qatargas Operating Company Limited is the operator of Qatargas Ventures (Qatargas 1, Qatargas 2, Qatargas 3&4 and Laffan Refinery) as well as the operator of the common storage and loading facilities at Ras Laffan which includes LNG, Condensate, LPG and Sulfur.
• As the operator of such facilities, software solutions are being implemented to support business functions such as LNG and Fleet Planning, Hydrocarbon Allocation / Production reporting and Sales Administration. Energy Components (EC) is currently being used to support the Hydrocarbon Allocation / Production reporting and Sales Administration functions.
• A System Analyst is needed with experience with Energy Components and EC Production module. Experience in EC Transport, Sales and Revenue will be an asset. This candidate will assist in day-to-day support of Energy Components and participate in software upgrades, project delivery of system requirements as well as providing other operational support.

Requirements:

• Must have a bachelor degree academic qualifications or equivalent.
• Must be experienced in Energy Components.
• Should possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English, as well as good interpersonal, presentation and documentation skills.
• 5 – 10 years of experience in Hydrocarbon Accounting, ideally within Oil and Gas industry.
